There's no doubt about it, moving can be stressful. Choosing responsible and experienced movers is one of the ways to alleviate that stress. When choosing a moving company price is important, however the level of service your moving company provides you with is even more important, and often times cheap moving companies can end up costing you a fortune! Unfortunately, our industry abounds with companies whose aim to book as many jobs as they can by whatever means necessary. Many "lowball" estimates quickly balloon with unexpected charges while hurried workers provide disappointing service. For many of these companies protecting your property and ensuring your satisfaction is last on their list of priorities.

MOVING SERVICES
Viktoria Full Home Services provides professional moving services along with a full line of affiliated services. We customize our services to fit your moving needs, whether big or small, whether you need to store one item or an entire household, or if you just need advice or assistance when preparing to move into your new home.
MOVING
We are able to provide all required services as early as 12 hours after receiving the order. We always use floor protection in bad weather, and our basic service includes blanket wrapping of all furniture, stretch wrapping of selected items and mattress bags to protect your furniture while moving.
Local
We offer local residential moving at very affordable rates without having to sacrifice the quality of service. If you pack your belongings yourself, we can provide moving boxes for an extra charge, which can be delivered a few days before the big move and returned later for a full refund (in good condition). If you prefer to have your items professionally packed, we will send our packing crew to your home for full or partial packing.
Long distance Moving
Whether you are moving across the province or across the country, we provide you with the same high level of service. For long distance moves, we offer the following:
Door-to-door services
This is the highest level of service in the moving industry. It begins with packing all items/belongings at the starting location, transporting them to the new location, and unpacking/arranging all items in their correct place. This service includes use of a full range of packing material, i.e. cardboard boxes, special wardrobe boxes, dish boxes, deluxe artwork shippers, mirror boxes, TV boxes, golf bag boxes, mattress boxes, bike boxes, peanuts, bubble wrap, stretch wrap, tapes, etc.
Point of Origin services
This service consists of packing all items/belongings, placing all packed items inside special wooden crates/containers, preparing customs documents(for international moving)and delivery to the airport, harbour, or storage location, as well as loading of trucks/vehicles.
Destination services
We pick up your shipment at a storage location, customs warehouse, harbour or airport and deliver it to the address you are moving to. We complete all customs clearance procedures prior to delivery, and will unpack and arrange all items according to your wishes.
Upon completion we remove all used packing material.
International
Please contact us directly if you would like to arrange an international move. We are able to handle the requirements of any International move from Point of Origin services, to filing customs documents, to arranging destination services with our partners all over the world. Door-to-door service is our specialty.
PACKAGING AND PACKAGING MATERIALS
Packing is probably the most stressful part of the moving process. Let the professionals do it for you. We understand the value of each of your items extends beyond what you paid for it, which is why our professionally trained packers treat your belongings as their own. They will also disassemble and re-assemble your furniture at your request. If you decide on using our professional packing service we will supply all of the materials.
If you decide to pack yourself, we can provide you with all the packing materials you need, including:
Various sizes of cardboard boxes, special boxes (wardrobe boxes, mirror boxes, deluxe artwork shippers, artwork boxes, mattress boxes, golf bag boxes, bike boxes, lamp boxes, ski&snow board boxes, guitar boxes, TV boxes, etc.), peanuts, packing paper, bubble wrap, stretch wrap, mattress bags and more according to our client's needs and wishes.
STORAGE
Viktoria Full Home Services provides secure facilities to safely store any items for long and short-term periods. For long term storage we use custom-made wooden crates. These crates are made to measure for each customer, and where possible we attempt pack all of your belongings into a single crate depending on the volume of items to be stored.
We also offer short-term storage solutions. This is most useful to clients moving locally who use our moving, painting and cleaning services for their moves. Before delivering your belongings to your new address, we place them in temporary storage while we paint your new home and complete a full top-to bottom cleaning. After enough time has passed for carpets and paint to dry, we complete the moving process by delivering your belongings, unloading all items and arranging them in their new locations according to your wishes.
MOVING CHECKLIST
One to two months before moving:
- Call Viktoria Full Home Services for a free in-home estimate
- Get packing supplies if packing yourself
- Make any necessary travel arrangements
- Have a garage sale
- Fill out change of address forms
- Obtain medical and dental records
- Ask your doctor and dentist for referrals and transfer prescriptions
- Record serial numbers of electronic equipment, if possible take pictures or video tape of your belongings
- Transfer your memberships
- Start a moving expenses log, as some of your expenses may be tax deductible
Two to four weeks before moving:
- Switch utility services to new address
- Inform telephone, cable, hydro companies of your move
- Transfer your newspaper and magazine subscriptions to your new address or discontinue delivery
- Confirm travel reservations if necessary
- Reserve the service elevator if moving from an apartment
- Check the contents of your safe-deposit box. Pack and carry all valuables such as jewellery, insurance policies, legal documents and important collections with you.
- Clean or arrange cleaning service to clean your home
- Prepare your children for the move by encouraging them to prepare their own special box with toys, games and snacks for the trip
- Start packing (if packing yourself). Number all of the boxes, mark the contents on each of the boxes, specially mark fragile contents and keep an inventory list
A few days before moving:
- Finish packing
- Collect house keys and arrange to leave them with the new owners, real estate agent or landlord
- Disconnect your appliances
- Double check all closets, shelves, garage to be sure they are empty
Moving day
- Ensure movers have all your destination details, exchange phone numbers and have your cell phone with you in case you need to contact your movers, etc.
- Walk through your home with the crew to survey the work to be done and make sure your instructions are understood
- Make sure you shut off all appliances
- Last minute check of rooms and closets
- Assist by ensuring that items are delivered to the correct room
- Carry important documents, currency and jewellery yourself
EXTRA-HEAVY/OVER-SIZED ITEMS
We're carry all specialty equipment necessary to safely move any heavy/oversized item, so we guarantee items will not be damaged during the moving process. Our vehicles are equipped with hydraulic lift gates so we're able to transport all items without complications. We move all heavy items with a maximum emphasis on their safety and protection.
